Developed by heat exchanger specialist Alfa Laval, the AlfaTop is a new breed of commercial air cooler that features a four-directional air discharge system and a patented automatic casing closure system that is designed to keep defrost energy locked in — and defrost times and operating costs locked down.
According to Alfa Laval, this combination makes the unit the world’s most energy-efficient air cooler for supermarket cold rooms. With its four-direction discharge, AlfaTop makes an ideal addition to small and medium-sized cold rooms used for storing and processing food, while its ceiling mounting and stylish looks makes it suitable for areas open to customer traffic.
AlfaTop’s ability to discharge to all main points of the compass enables it to solve the knotty problem of distributing air uniformly around cold rooms whose layouts are anything but uniform. The quadruple discharge design makes it ideal for cooling and freezing applications in small to medium sized processing rooms and supermarkets — it may also be used as an air heater in suitable applications.
The unit is ultra-slim, the smallest model measuring just 286mm when locked closed in defrost mode and 398mm when it is open and operating. The casing finish can be either ABS or epoxy coated sheet steel. Eurovent certified, the AlfaTop range includes models with capacities ranging from 3.2 up to 38.1kW.
