New entry-level TiS thermal imaging scanner for building diagnostics has been introduced by Fluke specifically for use by building inspectors, electricians, energy auditors, HVAC/R professionals, insulators, roofers and window installers.
Fluke's TiS can be used to identify hidden issues, find moisture intrusion, detect energy losses or missing insulation, spot overheating in electrical components, identify leaking ductwork, inspect steam traps and check compressors, motors and pumps. The instrument claims the highest resolution (120x120) in its price class and the largest display size at 3.6ins. It offers a versatile manual focus facility and a three-button menu designed for intuitive operation and navigation. It is tested to withstand a drop of 2m and is IP54 rated to withstand water and dust.
Typical applications include weathering and energy audits; roofing surveys; detection of wet areas in roofing systems; moisture/restoration: electrical inspection; detection of overheated components in circuits, switch panels, motors, pumps and more; and HVAC inspection.
