With its new Save It Easy 2LED replacement lamp, energy-efficient lighting specialist Energys Group has moved into the LED market. The 2LED lamp, replaces 2D CFLs in existing fittings, cutting energy use and significally improving lamp lifespan, with no need to disturb the fabric of the building or supply wiring.
Energys says the result is a 60 per cent reduction in the wattage needed to power the lamp — typical savings are given as 19-20W for each lamp. The Save It Easy 2LED lamp also offers a lifespan that is more than six times longer than existing CFLs. LED replacement means that lamp life typically jumps from just 8000 hours to 50,000 hours, opening the door not just for energy savings, but also long-term cost savings in terms of lighting maintenance. For lamps which are operated 24/7, says Energys, users can expect to see payback in less than two years.
The 2LED Replacement Lamp is available in four-pin and two-pin options. An additional version is available for emergency lighting, which has an LED in the centre of the unit, but is supplied with a battery back-up system.
