Entry is now open for the 2011 CIBSE Building Performance Awards. Re-branded from the Low Carbon Performance Awards held in previous years, the 2011 awards will reward excellence in the development and management of low carbon buildings, and will take into consideration a variety of characteristics, all of which impact on the performance of a building.
CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers) says the awards aim to recognise the contribution that engineers, contractors, facilities and energy managers play in creating a sustainable built environment, and to raise the profile of the construction and engineering industry. They will demonstrate the value that building services engineers have on the development and operation of buildings.
Awards will be presented on Wednesday 9th February 2011 at London's Grosvenor House Hotel. The evening will celebrate the achievements of the industry, and will aim to attract representatives from the initial design team through to those operating the buildings.
