Micro-inverter company Enecsys has appointment Paul Garrity to head development of its advanced solar PV micro-inverter. Garrity, who joins Enecsys after three years as VP of Engineering and Advanced Product Development at FlexPower —a subsidiary of Flextronics International — in Dallas, Texas, has over 20 years international experience in the power electronics industry, having successfully transferred over 90 projects into production whilst working for major OEM and electronic manufacturing services companies.
Garrity has filed 12 patents related to power conversion technology. He holds BSc and BEng (Hons) degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bell College of Technology in Hamilton, Scotland and Napier University, Edinburgh, Scotland.
"Solar PV is one of the most exciting industries in the world to be involved with at this time," said Garrity. "The Enecsys micro-inverter represents a remarkable breakthrough in energy harvest, reliability, and safety that will have a positive impact on system economics. I look forward to working with the talented team at Enecsys that has brought the product to market by contributing to its further development and ramp-up."
Enecsys CEO, Paul Engle, added: "Paul Garrity has an outstanding track record in cost-effective power conversion design, development and manufacturing. He will be of great value as we ramp-up production and develop new product offerings."
