Preparation for new UK renewable energy standards and legislation is on offer at the BSI Bioenergy Conference in May. The event, at the CBI Conference Centre, London, on May 18-19, will deliver guidance on the UK Renewable Energy Strategy and provide a forum for the industry to drive bioenergy production, standardisation and use.
In addition to presentations and case studies, discussion sessions will allow delegates to share knowledge, experiences and challenges of producing bioenergy and driving demand with some of the leading experts in this area. Speakers include Caroline Season of the Departmet of Energy and Climate Change, Aaron Berry of the Renewable Fuels Agency, Dr Geoff Hogan of the BIOMASS Energy Centre and Dr Patricia Thornley from Manchester University.
BSI says the conference will enable delegates to understand the impact of legislation and obligations on their business and gain insights into the future of the bioenergy market. Advice will be available on how to source bioenergy effectively — and how to ensure the quality of biofuel.
