A new guide from BSI sets out to highlight the main points of the latest EuP Directive that shows how producers and manufacturers of energy-using products can meet EU targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and managing their environmental impact.
BSI's new guide also outlines the Directive's impact on product design and manufacture, and offers practical advice for compliance. It provides a list of products that will need to meet environmental standards, gives information regarding the implementation of the directive into UK legislation, and provides an explanation of how products are assessed. The main ecodesign requirements for different product groups are also discussed, along with guidance on monitoring and assessing compliance.
Appendices include relevant European directives and standards and the text of the EuP Directive and related legislation.
