Survey calls for energy management data

A call for private and public sector organisations around the world to help provide a snapshot of current global energy management practices by completing an online survey has gone out from the British Standards Institution.

Including questions on current and potential initiatives and procedures, boardroom buy-in and organisational spend, the survey will form the basis of a report that will inform BSI’s future work on energy management. Completing the survey should take no longer than ten minutes, says BSI, and the results will be made available to all those who take past.

This survey comes just ahead of the publication of BS EN 16001, an energy management system standard designed to help organisations establish the systems and processes necessary to improve energy efficiency, potentially resulting in reductions in cost and greenhouse gas emissions.

Developed by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) with input from BSI in the UK, the survey has been driven by the need for organisations to evaluate and manage energy use within

everyday business operations.
